Texts and phone records shown to jurors Friday in the murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez showed that several messages he exchanged with a co-defendant before the killing were deleted from his phone. Evidence presented to the jury Friday also showed multiple calls placed from the phone of co-defendant Ernest Wallace to the victim, Odin Lloyd, in the hours before he was killed, including the same minute that Lloyd was seen getting into a car outside his home about an hour before he died early on June 17, 2013. The records showed that Hernandez, at times using his lawyer’s phone, called Wallace repeatedly the night of June 17 after police had gone to his home and asked him to come to the station while they investigated Lloyd’s death. Prosecutors have previously said Lloyd sent his last text to his sister at 3:23 a.m. and was killed within minutes, shot to death at an industrial park near Hernandez’s home in North Atteborough.

A person familiar with talks told The Associated Press on Thursday that McCown has had contract discussions with both teams. A second person, also speaking on condition of anonymity, said earlier that McCown was negotiating with Buffalo. The negotiations began after the 35-year-old spent the previous two days visiting the Browns.

The Atlanta Falcons on Thursday released running back Steven Jackson, who in two seasons with the team couldn’t recapture his 1,000-yard form that made him one of the league’s top backs with the Rams. In 2013, his first season with the Falcons, he had 543 yards rushing in 12 games. Jackson has had at least 20 catches in 10 straight seasons, including a career-best 90 receptions in 2006. 2014, the season of “What if’s” for the Buffalo Bills

The 2014 season was a season of should’ve, could’ve and what if’s for the Buffalo Bills.

What if Kyle Orton started from Week 1, would the Bills be in the playoffs?
What if Kyle Orton was a Bill throughout training camp and preseason, would he have been more effective?
The Bills should’ve beaten the Chiefs and Texans
If the Bills had a better QB, they could’ve been in the playoffs
If the Bills…

15 years and counting…

With yesterday’s loss to the Oakland Raiders, it officially put the final nail in the coffin of the 2014 season for the Buffalo Bills. In years past, the Bills were eliminated from playoff contention in November, so they made it to Week 15 this year without being eliminated. Sadly, this is the 15th year in a row that the Bills are not playing in the playoffs. It seems like such an eternity ago…

Another Bills QB bites the dust

Another QB bites the dust…
Another QB bites the dust…
And another gone, and another one gone
Another QB bites the dust…
Hey, aren’t you sick of this too?!
Another QB bites the dust…

After two miserable performances by starting Bills QB EJ Manuel, Bills HC Doug Marrone has seen enough and decided to bench Manuel in favor of backup QB Kyle Orton. It was one thing to lose to the San Diego Chargers…

It’s deja vu again for the Bills offense

Another week, another ugly performance by the Bills offense yesterday as they lost to the Houston Texans 23-17. It seemed as if nothing could go right for the Bills offense as it sputtered in so many areas. Texans DT JJ Watt terrorized the entire offense line yesterday as EJ Manuel could not get comfortable in the pocket. And even when Manuel did have time, he was wildly inaccurate. The Bills…

Bills take two steps forward, then one step backwards

The Bills started the 2014 season off hot with winning their first two games, then fizzled in game three versus the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers rebounded from a week 1 loss to the Cardinals to beat the defending Superbowl Champion Seattle Seahawks.

The Bills defense held the Chargers to 20 points, who had previously scored 30 points on one of the best defenses in the league a week prior….

Bills fans have plenty to “Shout” about

On one the biggest opening days in Buffalo Bills history this past Sunday, the Bills soundly defeated the Miami Dolphins by a score of 29-10.
By the way the crowd at Ralph Wilson stadium was on Sunday, you would have thought this was a flashback to the 1990’s when the Bills played in four AFC Championship games. Bills fans had lots to celebrate about as their Hall of Fame Quarterback, Jim Kelly,…

Surprise, surprise…Bills win their season opener on the road

The Buffalo Bills traveled to Chicago’s Solider Field, which was the only stadium the Bills had never won a game at. It took an extra session, but the Bills finally broke their winless streak in Chicago by defeating the Bears 23-20.

The start of the game looked like so many previous Bills games as the Bills found themselves down 7-0. But, this was not the Bills of old as they rebounded from…
