An attorney for a man who was charged with murder along with ex-NFL player Aaron Hernandez argued Friday that police coerced him to answer questions in the investigation and the information should not be allowed into evidence. Defense attorney John Connors said at a hearing on a motion to suppress that police acted improperly when they questioned Carlos Ortiz about the June 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd. Police misstated the Miranda warning and used coercive tactics, suggesting Ortiz was being used by Hernandez, the defense said.

Is the “Flutie Curse” over with?

In January 2000, then Buffalo Bills owner, Ralph Wilson, made the call to then Bills HC Wade Phillips to have Rob Johnson become the starting QB for the Bills in the playoffs after he saw Johnson play well in a meaningless game 16 for the Bills. Former starting Bills QB, Doug Flutie was told by Phillips that he was only being benched for game 16 so he was rested for the playoffs, only to have the…

New Bills owners, new Buffalo Bills

2014, the season of “What if’s” for the Buffalo Bills

The 2014 season was a season of should’ve, could’ve and what if’s for the Buffalo Bills.

What if Kyle Orton started from Week 1, would the Bills be in the playoffs?
What if Kyle Orton was a Bill throughout training camp and preseason, would he have been more effective?

If the Bills…

Sadly, this is the 15th year in a row that the Bills are not playing in the playoffs. It seems like such an eternity ago…

It’s deja vu again for the Bills offense

Another week, another ugly performance by the Bills offense yesterday as they lost to the Houston Texans 23-17. It seemed as if nothing could go right for the Bills offense as it sputtered in so many areas. Texans DT JJ Watt terrorized the entire offense line yesterday as EJ Manuel could not get comfortable in the pocket. And even when Manuel did have time, he was wildly inaccurate. The Bills…

Bills take two steps forward, then one step backwards

The Bills started the 2014 season off hot with winning their first two games, then fizzled in game three versus the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers rebounded from a week 1 loss to the Cardinals to beat the defending Superbowl Champion Seattle Seahawks.

The Bills defense held the Chargers to 20 points, who had previously scored 30 points on one of the best defenses in the league a week prior….
